RWS 92 & 93 Air Rifle Closeout Sale
A gun shop here in Huntsville Alabama, Larrys Pistol & Pawn, has a number of RWS model 92 and 93 air rifles for sale. These rifles were bought several years ago to promote an air rifle club that Larrys was trying to form at its indoor range. The air rifle club never took off and they have had these rifles sitting in their store room ever since.
Larry has decided that it is time to move these rifles so he is selling them at cost to get them out of his store room. These air rifles are brand new in the box with all original paper work and supplies. The majority of these air rifles haven't even had the box opened. These rifles were made in Spain by Cometa for RWS. The RWS92 is basically the same model as the Cometa 220 and the RWS 93 is comperable to the Cometa 300.
His loss is your gain. Now is your chance to get one of these well built, air rifles. I have test fired each of these models and found them accurate and very smooth. They don't have a lot of spring twang and vibration. The shot cycle felt more like a tuned air rifle. The RWS 92 reminded me of one of my old favorites, the FWB124. The Model 93 was a bigger, more powerful rifle that hits hard. Both rifles are have a nice blued finish. I was impressed with quality and accuracy of these rifles considering their low cost. After shooting these rifles a while the RWS 92 chronoed around 700 fps and the RWS 93 chronoed just under 800 fps using Crosman Premiers 7.9 pellets. These values may settle a little bit lower once the rifle breaks in completely.
Here is the deal, each rifle will come with an RWS 4x scope and BSA scope stop and shipping will be included in the cost (note: scope mounts are not included, check here for some mounts). The RWS 92 will cost $100 with scope and scope stop shipped to your door. The RWS 93 will cost $150 with scope and scope stop shipped to your door. At the time of this posting (10/17/07), Larry has 50 of the RWS 92 rifles and 15 of the RWS 93 rifles.
