Direct Katrina Relief
Most of us in the airgun Community know Ron and Linda Juneau of Baton Rouge. I have contacted them to see if there was some way to help directly with Katrina relief. Ron & Linda's church, Live Oak United Methodist Church, has taken an active roll in supporting the victims of Katrina. They are feeding and housing law enforcement officials, distrubuting food, clothing, supplies, and medical help to all the shelters in their area. They are also housing displaced families, providing class rooms for displaced students and teachers, etc.
This help will take a lot of financial support so if you would like to help the victims of Katrina directly and make an impact in the lives of those affected, please thoughtfully consider donating to the Baton Rouge area via Ron & Linda. No donation is too small. The recovery effort will take many months so also consider making a commitment for 3-6 months (or more) to the relief effort.
To donate, checks may be made payable to "Live Oak UMC" with note at bottom of check "Katrina fund". Send the checks to Ron & Linda at:
Ron & Linda Juneau
5164 Universal Ave.
Greenwell Springs, LA 70739
They will make sure the donations will get to their church. Please help if you can.
